Carol Ann retired from a 24-year career in information development, formerly known as technical writing, where she worked in Silicon Valley for a large software development corporation and a medium-sized semiconductor equipment manufacturer.

Previous employment also included a part-time Associate Instructor position at West Valley (community) College in Saratoga, California. Additional employment in Southern California included a self-employment crafts stint and positions with a substance abuse treatment facility, life insurance agency, the Federal government, and a dental society.

Carol Ann holds an M.B.A. with an emphasis in Marketing from California State University, Los Angeles and a B.A. in Sociology from Washington State University. Additional training includes certificates in Training and Human Resource Development from UCSC Extension and Technical Communications from De Anza College, Cupertino, California.

Previously the Grand Prize Winner of the First Inglewood, California Poetry Contest in Southern California, she has also had poems published in small poetry magazines and anthologies. Carol Ann lives with her husband and tabby cat, Sweet Girl, in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Sweet Girl
